The yummy choc-chip thing

I highly recommend that you visit Random Irregular's blog and construct yourself a tray of blonde brownies as I did. Above is a picture of the brownies I made and as you can see, I've specially added extra choc chips on the top to make it pretty.
Thank you, Random Irregular, for this simple-scrumptious recipe.

Totally funny looking cupcakes

Hi everyone. I know I haven't been posting for so long, but I have been busy. Here is a picture of the cupcakes I made this week. See the blue one on the top right-hand-side? That one's special. It's weirdly alien, like me. If you can't see what it's supposed to be, it's meant to be a face, but it's not normal hehe...

Poll Results - Video games

Q. Which video game do you have, or if you don't have one, which one would you want?

A.
X-Box 360 - (3 votes)
Nintendo DS Lite - (4 votes)
Playstation 3 - (0 votes)
Nintendo Wii -
(2 votes)

I am a fan of video games.
Does anyone have X-Box/360? I absolutely love the game Halo and it's sequels (Halo 2 and 3). I have never seen or heard of a better shooting/killing game. I also like car games. But Halo just ROCKS! Halo 3 is made for X-Box 360 only. We've clocked the others. It is sooooo cool. In Halo 3, I discovered this extremely cool weapon like a big stick, whatever you hit with it, the object blows up. It is just sooooooooooo awesome!!!! In the photo above, that's you in the game. You get to go in cars, planes, tanks and more, to kill the evil monsters in missions. You can even play against your friends, killing each other with no monsters involved. It just gets better every second. It’s really scary when you play alone.
Nintendo DS is really cool too. But I think they need to make better games like Grand Theft Auto and more.

Here are some more images of Halo 3

This is the view when you're playing multiplayer, killing each other, not missions.

That's you at the front^^

One of the creepy-zombie-looking-scary monsters you come across in the game.

Powerpuff Girls movie

" ...and so the day is saved, thanks to The Powerpuff Girls!" Erm, not quite. No, not in this movie. The Powerpuff Girls are the ones who are meant to be saving people and the world, right? But what happens when these superheroes turn into evil villiains?

"Bad Kitty" by Michele Jaffe

"Bad Kitty" written by Michele Jaffe, is about a 17 year old girl, Jasmine Callihan, on vacation in Las Vegas with her family. She predicted her vacation would be about avoiding her cousin Alyson and her 'Evil Hench Twin' Veronique and trying to get the 'cute guy across the pool' to notice her. It is when a three legged cat, called Mad Joe, attacks her that she realises there's a whole unsolved mystery about the murder of Len Phillips. She's determined to solve the mystery with her best friends Polly, Roxy and Tom. Also along the way, she meets the 'cute guy across the pool' who may or may not be involved in the crime.

Poll Results =]

And the results are in for the poll that I was hardly aware of...

Q) What do you do in your spare time?
1. Read the dictionary. (3 votes)
2. Eat omlette pie. (0 votes)
3. Drink raw egg. (0 votes)
4. All of the above. (1 vote)

To be honest, I completely forgot about this poll. Untill I went to the 'customize' page and I found it sitting down the bottom of the whole blog.

For the person who voted 'All of the above', you must be special. Not everyone can do that.
Dictionary voters, you must also be special. Reading the dictionary can be pure boredom for some.

yummy Recipe: Caramel Popcorn Balls

Caramel Popcorn Balls

Makes 50

2 tablespoons oil
½ cup popping corn
170 g (6 oz/ ¾ cup) caster sugar
80 g (2¾ oz) unsalted butter
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons cream

Method:
1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the corn and cover with lid. Cook for 5 minutes or until the popping stops, shaking the pan occasionally. Tip the popcorn into a big bowl.

2. Put the sugar, butter, honey and cream in a small saucepan. Stir over medium heat, without boiling, until the sugar has completely dissolved. Bring to the boil and boil, without stirring, for 5 minutes.

3. Pour the caramel over the popcorn and mix together. Leave to cool a little, then rub some oil over your hands and mould the popcorn into small balls. Put on a wire rack to set.

Note: When you pour the caramel over the popcorn, mix it together before it goes hard. Don’t wait; you need to mix it as soon as you pour it over the popcorn. Then once you’ve mixed it, leave it for around 3 minutes and then make the balls.

Bawks (Books)

The poll question was "Do you like to read books?"
The winner vote was "I am a read-a-holic" which is such happy news. But It's kind of funny that only three people voted! Anyway, nice to know people love reading, just like me!

I'll be putting up some good books that you can read.

Poll Results

I'm not sure if people understood the question correct, because I didn't know this many people liked chickens! The question was asking, what is your favourite animal, as a pet (not to eat). Anyway, chickens win!! Chickens are thee coolest.
That lighter coloured chicken (above) looks exactly like my chicken, Little Yellow Friend 2, except fatter. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. I love chickens. ROCK ON CHICKEN LOVERS!

A fish on land

Here's a picture I drew because I was bored.

'Twilight'

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer is a great book that you must read. It is about a 17 year old girl, Bella Swan. She meets mysterious Edward Cullen. There's something about him, which could ruin their lives. He is a vampire. And they're in love.
Also read New Moon and Eclipse, the sequels to this great series. And Breaking Dawn, is coming out soon.
I recommend you read them in order otherwise you won't understand a thing.

Sacrificing for Satisfaction

Imagine:
You're crammed inside a cage. You can't move around or move your arms and legs. There are rotting bodies all around you. Your skin is scratching off from the wires of the cage. Your nails have curled around the cage wires and you're trapped.

I'm pretty sure you've heard about Battery Cage Hens. Each hen is squashed inside metal cages, each with space about an A4 sized sheet of paper. These hens do not have any dust to bathe in, space to stretch their wings, or a quiet place to lay their eggs. The cages are in artifically lit sheds. They're trapped in there for their whole life.

The hens are fed food that make them lay eggs. The farmers turn the lights on in mornings, causing chickens to believe it is the beginning of a new day and making them lay an egg. When a full day has not passed, farmers trick the hens by shutting the lights for a few hours and turning them back on so the chickens can lay another egg.

Due to stress and boredom, the hens often peck(ed) each other. But not for long, because the farmers came up with the solution of cutting one third of their beak off. They are not given any pain reliever and it sometimes leads to shock and death. The hens' only escape is the slaughterhouse.

These chickens do not deserve to be treated this way. They sacrifice (well, they don't have a choice) their lives giving eggs for human consumption.

If you eat egg, only buy Free Range. You never know where those Cage Eggs have been. Some hens use dead chickens as nests to lay their eggs. Those eggs could roll out and end up in our supermarkets.

Kiki Strike - the books you MUST read!

This is a book you must read: Kiki Strike Inside The Shadow City - by Kirsten Miller

I did a book report and class oral presentation on this book so here is a blurb I have made:

12 year old Ananka Fishbein meets the mysterious Kiki Strike and together with a few other friends, they form a secret society called the Irregulars. They Discover the secrets of the long forgotten Shadow City, underneath the towns of New York.
But Kiki's evil auntie, Livia, Queen of Pokrovia and her daughter, Sidonia, Princess of Pokrovia are out to get Kiki and her guardian, Verushka.
The Irregulars must watch one of their members, Betty, as she attends the rich and famous Bannerman Ball, in search of clues about recent kidnappings. But Princess Sidonia has set a trap for the Irregulars.
Will it be too late before Kiki Strike and her friends can save the Shadow City from being discovered by others?
Action packed and full of excitement. This book is great for girls who like reading about teamwork and discovery.

Also read:
Kiki Strike: The Empress's Tomb
the second book of this spectacular series.
(This book was presented in class by my friend, Random Irregular)

Pretty and Protected

Instead of hanging around with sharp objects and self defence skills, some women choose to purchase this pretty black jacket. When the No-Contact Jacket is activated by the owner, 80,000 volts of current is delivered just below the surface shell of the jacket. If a stranger were to grab hold of the person, they would feel a shock, not to kill them but enough for them to get the message that the person is dangerous and protected. It is illegal in some countries. I do feel sorry for those who may innocently get attacked when accidently bumping into the jacket!
